No. In the state of Colorado, the seller will pay the listing agent’s and the buyer’s agent’s commission.

This is a difficult question as it depends on your needs / wants in a home. Generally speaking, we are leaning toward a sellers market, due to the large influx of population and the low inventory of homes.  This doesn’t mean it may not be a perfect time for you to buy.

Colorado Springs is home to the second most visited mountain in the world, Pikes Peak. Hundreds of outdoor opportunities such as Palmer Park, the infamous Incline, and the Cog railway. The cost of living here is generally lower than the US average (gas, groceries, retail). Housing prices are significantly lower than Denver and Boulder, but are expected to outpace both in the coming years. Great military presence with Fort Carson, Cheyenne Mountain, and the Airforce Academy. Truly a large city with a small-town atmosphere.

Of course! However, I would not recommend it. Not only because I don’t get a commission, but because of a number of reasons.

1.) Legal liability: there is a vast array of different laws and regulations that must be followed when selling a home. A trained agent knows how to navigate and utilize, rather than avoid these rules.

2.) Less money at the end of the day: I can guarantee that there will be nothing left on the table after negotiations are complete. Even after commissions paid, you are likely to still make more money on the sale of your home.

3.) You would miss out on the chance to make a life-long friend in the real estate industry.

I am a patient person and will not pressure you to expedite a commission. It is a big decision, take your time with it.
